| I was born and raised in a steel mill town outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I joined the Navy in 1994 as a storekeeper (logistics) and picked up the Seaman to Admiral officer program in 2000. I attended Jacksonville University and earned my degree in Geography and Environmental Science. I join the fleet as a Surface Warfare Officer in 2004 onboard the USS IWO JIMA (LHD7) I was the Electronic Warfare Officer then the Damage Control Assistant. While onboard, I deployed twice and participated in Hurricane Katrina Operation in 2004 and the Lebanon Evacuation of 2006. I finished my career onboard the USS MESA VERDE as the Combat Systems Officer. |
My husband of 6 years also served in the Navy and recently discharged to become my caregiver through the VA program.
My daughter, Claire, attends school in Boston and comes to visit on long weekends and summer break.
I am an advocate for veteran rights, I am active in our political community of Starks and we educate people on invisible illness and young development of cancer.
